INGREDIENTS:
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz triple sec
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz raspberry simple syrup (recipe below)
- Mixologist's Garden raspberries and lime slices for garnish
- Ice cubes
Raspberry Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
METHOD:
1 - Prepare Raspberry Simple Syrup:
- In a saucepan, combine fresh raspberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes until the raspberries break down, and the mixture thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and strain the syrup into a bowl, discarding the raspberry pulp.
- Allow the syrup to cool before using.
2 - Prepare the Cocktail:
- Rim the glass with salt (optional) by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into salt.
- In a shaker, combine silver tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and raspberry simple syrup.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with our raspberries and lime slices.
- Optionally, add a few raspberries directly into the drink for an extra burst of flavour.
